The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) Visiting Scholars Program 2026 provides an exceptional chance for overseas scholars to do fully sponsored research in Japan. This acclaimed program is intended to provide participants with access to OIST’s world-class research facilities, libraries, laboratories, and computing resources as they pursue their own independent research projects. Each year, the program invites up to 30 visiting scholars for periods ranging from 3 to 12 months.
