NAAS Research and Curatorial Fellowship 2025 for International Students:
Applications are invited to apply for the NAAS Research and Curatorial Fellowship 2025. International applicants are welcome to apply for this fellowship program. The Network of Arab Alternative Screens (NAAS) has officially launched applications for the 2025-2026 NAAS Research & Curatorial Fellowship, a transformative 9- to 10-month program designed for cultural practitioners, scholars, and curators from Arabic-speaking countries and diasporas. The fellowship is intended to provide a forum for both study and public participation. Fellows will be asked to create a public-facing outcome from their research, which could include publications, exhibitions, screenings, digital initiatives, or other creative media. Special emphasis is placed on projects that encourage experimentation and broaden participation in the cultural field.
NAAS, founded more than 10 years ago, promotes long-term collaboration and solidarity among a growing network of activities and locations that foster community around film. NAAS believes in the importance of alternative narratives and the communal experience of viewing films, and it provides chances and resources for the film industry to encourage critical thinking and conversation among audiences throughout the Arabic-speaking region. NAAS envisions Arabic-speaking communities taking control of their available resources and making decisions about how to allocate them.
