The HKU CDS Internship 2026 at the University of Hong Kong is a fully funded internship. The HKU CDS Research Internship Program accepts applications from candidates worldwide. The internship’s goal is to give students all over the world the chance to learn more about the postgraduate research program and work on research projects while being supervised by a faculty member. A total salary of about HK$19,601 will be awarded to selected students for this internship.
About 40 exceptional undergraduate students studying computer science, artificial intelligence, and data science from Mainland China or other foreign nations will be accepted into the HKU School of Computing and Data Science’s Research Internship Program, which will begin in the summer. This program’s approximate time frame is July 19–August 31, 2026, though this can be further discussed with the supervisor. Every intern will be assigned to a research project under the supervision of a faculty member, and at the conclusion of the internship, they will be expected to submit the project’s findings. Eligibility Criteria:
- All nationalities are eligible to participate in the program.
- Available to current undergraduate students in their second or third year.
- Studying statistics, computer science, actuarial science, or a similar field
- Applicants must be from the univerities in Hong Kong, Mainland China, or other foreign nations.
- Students who are accepted must apply to the Hong Kong Immigration Department for a “training visa.”
- It is necessary to have a supporting letter from the applicant’s home institution attesting to the student’s return to school after completing the program at HKU.
- Before applying, candidates should confirm that their university can supply this letter. Visas for tourists are not accepted.
