DGIST Summer Research Internship 2026 for International Students:
Applications are invited to apply for the DGIST Summer Research Internship 2026 in South Korea. International Undergraduate as well as graduate students are welcome to apply for this summer research internship. From June 29 to August 7, 2026, the 6-week internship will be held at the Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology. Also apply for Forage Virtual Internship Program 2026 (Fully Funded).

International students from all over the world can apply for the fully funded DGIST Summer Research Internship 2026 in South Korea. Both undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply for the internship, which aims to study research topics at the DGIST Graduate School under the direction of DGIST faculty members. Korean cultural tours and activities abound throughout the program. There are no application fees.
Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology is a public science and engineering institution in South Korea. DGIST is one of four public universities in South Korea that focus on scientific and technological research. For six weeks, undergraduate students from DGIST and other universities can participate in practical interdisciplinary research while exploring a variety of research topics at DGIST’s graduate school through the DGIST Research Internship for Undergraduates. Note:
- Every document should be written in English.
- Applicants should enter the email address of their home university’s academic advisor, and the system will send him/her a link to upload the letter of reference after they submit the application.
- Deadline for submitting the advisor’s recommendation letter: March 11, 2026 (Wed), 4:00 PM (KST).
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants are welcome from anywhere in the world.
- Third- or fourth-year undergraduate students who have completed at least four semesters at the time of application.
- Applicants must have earned a cumulative GPA of 75% or higher on the grading scale of their home university (or 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale), or an equivalent academic standing, are eligible to apply.
- At the time of program participation, applicants must be enrolled at their home university and anticipate continuing their studies for at least one more semester before graduating.
- Students with high levels of English language proficiency (official English test scores are not mandatory.
- English proficiency will be evaluated through the academic advisor’s recommendation letter).
- Korean student visa holders are not permitted to attend.
