Vietjet Thailand Adds More India-Bangkok Flights, Launches INR 1 Fare Sale

by awbtravelsnews | June 24, 2026

Indian travellers heading to Thailand will soon have more flight options as Vietjet Thailand ramps up its India operations and restores capacity across its network.

Vietjet Thailand has confirmed that its Mumbai-Bangkok route will increase from four weekly flights to a daily service starting 1 August 2026. Meanwhile, Kolkata-Bangkok flights will operate four times a week from 1 July 2026.

For Indian passengers, that means easier access to Bangkok and better onward connections across Thailand and Southeast Asia through Vietjet Thailand’s growing route network.

INR 1 Fare Sale for India Routes

To support the expansion, Vietjet Thailand has launched a promotional sale offering base fares from just INR 1 one-way on flights from Mumbai and Kolkata to Bangkok.

Travellers looking to take advantage of the INR 1 promotional fares will need to book within a limited eight-day window. The offer applies to travel through much of the 2026-27 season, including year-end holidays and early 2027 trips.

Travellers should remember that taxes, airport charges, and other fees are extra, while promotional seats are limited.

More Capacity as Thailand Demand Climbs

Thailand remains one of the most popular international destinations for Indian travellers, thanks to short flight times, competitive fares, and easier entry procedures than many long-haul destinations.

The return of daily Mumbai-Bangkok flights is another sign that airlines are responding to sustained demand rather than short-term holiday traffic. Capacity between India and Thailand has been rising steadily over the past year, and carriers clearly expect that trend to continue.

Fleet Growth Supports Expansion

The airline says additional frequencies are also being restored across selected domestic and international routes as passenger demand strengthens.

Vietjet Thailand expects to receive 16 Boeing 737-8 aircraft in the second half of 2026, bringing its fleet to 29 by year-end. The larger fleet will allow the carrier to add more routes and increase frequencies across its network.

Flight Schedule Changes

Take

We see this as a practical upgrade for Indian travellers. More flights usually mean better fare competition, greater flexibility, and easier weekend trips to Thailand, especially from Mumbai and Kolkata.
