Indian passport holders in the UAE will need to use a new service provider from July 1, 2026. The Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi has confirmed that Al Hind Tours and Travels LLC will take over passport, visa and consular application processing across the UAE.
For now, nothing changes. BLS International and SGIVS Global will continue accepting applications until June 30, 2026.
Al Hind Takes Over Indian Passport and Visa Services in the UAE
Any passport renewal, visa application, OCI-related request or consular service submitted on or after July 1 will be handled through centres operated by Al Hind.
The switch applies to services overseen by both the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai, which together cover one of the world’s largest overseas Indian communities.

What Applicants Should Do
If you already have an appointment with BLS or SGIVS before June 30, proceed as planned.
If your application timeline stretches into July, wait for fresh details on:
- Service centre locations
- Appointment booking procedures
- Processing fees
- Operating hours
- Customer support contacts
These details will be released separately through official Indian mission channels.
Why Travellers Should Pay Attention
For Indians travelling, living, or working in the UAE, visa renewals, passport services and document attestations are routine requirements. A change in the service provider can affect where applications are filed, how appointments are booked and how quickly requests move through the system.
Changes like this rarely affect eligibility or processing rules, but they can temporarily reshape appointment availability and service centre workflows.
In my experience covering consular transitions across the Gulf, the first few weeks after a provider change are when applicants benefit most from checking official updates rather than relying on old booking links or agency advice.
Take
We see this as a practical administrative switch rather than a disruptive one. I would continue using existing centres until June 30 and watch for Al Hind’s rollout details before booking appointments.
