Eligibility Criteria:
You must fulfill the following requirements to apply for Wuhan University Youth of Excellence Scholarship 2026:
- Be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China.
- Be under 45 at the time of application.
- Be a non-Chinese citizen, and be in good physical and mental condition.
- Possess a minimum of three years of professional job experience and a bachelor’s degree.
- Has a background in international development, administration, leadership, or governance.
- Become a member of one of these professional groups:
- Government representatives at the division chief (or equivalent) level and higher
- Senior executives in organizations or businesses
- University or research institution administrators
- Experts with prior employment or internship experience in multinational corporations
- Special consideration will be given to those with expertise in public health, geospatial science, governance, or policy.

How to Apply for Wuhan University Youth of Excellence Scholarship?
- Before March 1st, 2026, applicants must register, select the appropriate agency and major, and submit scanned copies of their application materials via the Wuhan University Online Application System for International Students.
- Please be aware that “Chinese Government Scholarship” is the application item.
- Pre-admission letters will be sent to applicants who pass all assessments, and Wuhan University will arrange for document review and interviews.
- After receiving the pre-admission letter, please apply online at the Chinese Government Scholarship System and send in your application materials by March 31, 2026.
- Kindly choose “Type A” for the scholarship type; 1563 is the agency code.
- The “Youth of Excellence Scheme of China” is an applicant program.
- After reviewing candidate papers, the China Scholarship Council (CSC) will set up an expert review.
- Following the evaluation, CSC will make the final results public.
