Kyutech MEXT PNST Fellowship 2026 for International Students:
Applications are invited to apply for the Kyutech MEXT PNST Fellowship 2026 in Japan. All International students can apply for the fellowships. Candidates who want to pursue their master’s and PhD degree programs are welcome to apply. Through this fellowship, participants from non-spacefaring countries will be able to complete graduate degrees at Kyutech and acquire practical skills that can help your nation’s space industry and ecosystem get established and/or grow. A collaborative effort between the Government of Japan, Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech), and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the MEXT Japan PNST Fellowship 2026 is a fully financed fellowship in Japan. Up to three students will be chosen for the Master’s Program and up to three for the Doctoral Program by the PNST Fellowship. The Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT), awarded to successful applicants, will pay for tuition, living expenses, housing, flights, local transportation, and other costs. The program’s goal is to give Kyutech a wide range of chances for nanosatellite system research.
For citizens of developing or non-spacefaring countries, the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and the Government of Japan, in collaboration with Kyushu Institute of Technology (Kyutech), have established a United Nations/Japan Long-term Fellowship Program on Nano-Satellite Technologies. The program will make use of Kyutech’s nanosatellite development and testing facilities to offer a wide range of research opportunities in nanosatellite systems.
